GENERAL PURPOSE WIRELESS THERMOMETER

In the various articles regarding wireless thermometers on this site, there are many descriptions of thermometers that even though they have the wireless aspect in common, they have many varied specialized purposes from measuring air temperature to water to cooking meat. Many are designed for research and scientific uses. One of the wonderful examples of wireless thermometers, however, is that they are very flexible in their use and the average person can use them for all sorts of reasons. An example is a thermometer that can be used for either indoor or outside temperatures. Because of the wireless aspect one can monitor the desired environment being measures from a distance. Examples would be able to check from, say a 100 feet away, a baby’s room, a wine cellar, an attic, a food storage room, etc. The possibilities are endless. Often with general purpose thermometers they can switch from Fahrenheit to Celsius and back. This allows not only for using the thermometer in recipies which often use Celsius measures to taking the thermometer world wide and being able to adapt it to local customs. Quite often such a thermometer can be adjusted to sound an alarm of some sort if the temperature goes above or below a certain range. They will often have sensor probes to move into a special environment such as water or cooking meat. The point of such general purpose thermometers with a wireless aspect is to create the greatest flexibility of use for the largest number of people.
