Acu rite Wireless Thermometer

I work from home, and my desk faces the window which overlooks our large, shady backyard that covers an acre. Being a weather junkie, I like to contemplate the changing seasons evidenced by the activity of wildlife and the transformations of foliage. Unsurprisingly, the temperature is of great interest for me. I've been accused of following the temperature as religiously as some people clock-watch. My wife calls ma 'anal' but I prefer meticulous. I'm impressed with the new Acu rite Wireless Thermometer that my wife gave me the other day. The quaint size is perfect: not too large to be intrusive, but large enough that the numbers can be seen without squinting. The digital numbers clearly show indoor and outdoor temperatures simultaneously. (My old digital thermometer showed the temperature in both Fahrenheit and Celsious, an unnecessary distraction, in my opinion. I'm too old to learn Celsious!) In my mind, the genius of the design is the strength of the signal. It works perfectly even up to 100 feet away! It works so well, in fact, that I bought another one so that I can measure the temperature right outside my window, as well as at the dog-run that is 60 feet away. Both the main unit and the sensor are convenient to install: I have one main unit on my wall beside the window and its sensor is just outside, and the other main unit sits happily on my credenza with its sensor in the doghouse. Since the sensor's operating range is from 0 to 130 degrees Fahrenheit, I don't anticipate any problems reading the Florida weather here. The main unit and the sensor requires two triple-A batteries, and the life-span of the batteries is expected to be nine to ten months. There is also a twelve-month warranty from the factory, but I don't expect any trouble. My wife showed me comments on the web from very satisfied customers, and I'm happy to add my testimonial to the group. One last thing: The owner's manual is published completely on the Web. Can't we all agree that every product's manual should be published so? I have drawers full of appliance manuals dating back to the sixties, and I can never seem to find the one I need at a crucial time, and I never seem to have the time to edit out the useless ones. To sum up, I'm a very satisfied customer and would recommend the Acu rite Wireless Thermometer to anyone, anytime, anywhere. Gary Bergera Clearwater, Fla.
